Using the outdoor experience to help people grow.
Growth is a process, one taken to reach maturity. Romans 8:29 says, “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness (or image) of his Son…” Lifelines see all growth as spiritual growth because growth is all about being conformed to the likeness of Christ. So if a person grows emotionally, relationally or personally he or she is growing to be more like Christ and therefore growing spiritually. If you are not becoming more like Christ in a certain area of your life then you are not growing in that area.
The Bible answers and speaks into our everyday problems. It talks about our relational, emotional and even financial struggles, it covers all of life. Yet most non-Christian’s think the Bible and God does not relate to there lives. So if Lifelines can help people grow we earn credibility for both us and the gospel in there eyes. There must be something to this they start thinking.
Lifelines staff are both outdoor and spiritual guides. We believe everyone is on a spiritual journey. Some people are moving toward Christ and becoming more like him while others are standing still or going in the wrong direction.
Using the outdoor experience to help people grow from where they are into fully devoted followers of Christ.
